Talking about the exam pattern

• • Preliminary Examination. (Objective Type & Multiple choices)
  • Main Examination. (Conventional Type, i.e., Written examination)
  • Viva- Voice. (Personality Test).

One of the most important thing about this examination is the Male candidate who is married and have more then one wife is not eligible for this examination. Like this, the woman who married the person already having a wife will also not allow attempting the exam. To attempt the exam, the Hon. Governor has granted an exemption from this condition.

Prelims Exam of UP PCS

 

Prelims Exam of UPPSC is based on the Current Affairs relating to national and international events.General Knowledge on the following

• Current Affairs relating to national and international events
• General Knowledge on the following: Indian Geography and World Geography, Indian Constitution and Governing Systems, Issues in the Environment and Ecology, General Science, Economics, and Social Development issues, etc.

The applicant should require to answer all the questions in this paper. The Duration of the paper is two hours. But in care of the blind candidates, they will get the additional time of 20 minutes for each paper. The question paper is available in both the Hindi and English languages. Just the questions in on Comprehension will only available in English.

Paper Pattern for Mains ExamThe phase of the exam consists of 5 papers. Include general type questions from the following sections as given below.

• In Paper I the questions asked will be based on the High School/ Class 11th level only.
• In Paper-II the question is on the bases of Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of World and Society.
• Paper III  is based on Constitution, Polity, Social Justice, Indian Heritage, and Culture and World & Society.
• In Paper IV based on Economic Development, Disaster Management, Technology, Environment, Bio-Diversity, and Security.
• in Paper V the question is based on Integrity and Aptitude and Ethics.

The paper one is of 200 marks, and the other four papers are of 250 marks. Total Marks for Written Exam is 1800. Considering those exams are the state exams You should have knowledge of the history and geography of the particular state.
