Preliminary Exam
Preliminary Exam consists of two papers; Each paper will be set following the scheme given below.

This examination is only to serve as the screening test. The marks you obtained in this examination will only declare qualified for the primary consideration. Final selection list will be prepared only based on marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview.

Main Examination
The main examination is of two parts, the Written Exam, and Interview test. Let us understand about it one by one.
Written examination
This phase of the examination consist of 6 papers, First 5 papers is in the written format, and six paper is of the interview. Include general type questions from the following sections as given below.

Total Marks for Written Exam is 1400. Considering those exams are the state exams. You should know the history and geography of the particular state.
Interview Test
Paper VI is the interview test of MPPSE examination. Each paper will be of three hours duration, but Paper VI will be of 02 hours duration. The question papers for the exam will be of conventional essay type.
The interview is the final & most crucial stage of MPPSC examination. The candidates who are qualifying in Mains can proceed towards the Personality Test.
This intentions behind this section are just to caliber the Mental strength of the candidate. The question in the interview is on the personal suitability of the students for a career in public services. Some questions are on the general interest. You can choose the language of the interview. Personality Test is of 175 marks.
The qualities like mental alertness, clear and logical exposition, the balance of judgment, variety, and depth of interest, critical powers of ability for social cohesion and leadership, intellectual and moral integrity also matters.
