Examination of Rajasthan Administrative Service is conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). It is a civil service of the state of Rajasthan. The exam is for the various posts in the government of India, Like deputy commissioner, special secretary, deputy secretary, additional district magistrate, joint secretary, head of departments, principal secretaries, chief secretary, etc. This article is all about the RAS syllabus.
There is a specific condition you need to satisfy. If you want to attend the RAS examination of RPSC, Like the student should be the citizen of India, the age of the student should be in between 21 to 40, and He should have completed his graduation from any recognized university and any stream. If you fulfil the above criteria only then, you can apply for the examination.

Those are the three stages of RAS examination. Now let’s understand about it one by one.
Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the RAS examination. It consists of one paper on General Knowledge and General Science. All the question in the examination will be the objective one and carry a maximum of 200 marks. The duration of this examination is three hours and also has negative marking. You should not solve the question about which are not sure.

Preliminary Examination is only meant to serve a screening test only, Talking about the pattern and standard of the paper. It will be the bachelor’s degree level. The marks in this stage of the examination are only qualified for the admission to Mains Examination. The score will not be counted in the final order of merit list. RAS Mains Exam
RAS Mains Exam is the 2ed and the main phase of the examination. This phase of the examination consists of 4 papers, like General Studies I, General Studies II, General Studies III, and General Hindi & General English. Each paper is of 200 marks. The duration of the paper is about three hours.
This phase of the examination will not contain MCQ type of question. There will be brief, medium, long answer and descriptive type question, General Hindi including General English will be of senior secondary level. The syllabus of this phase of the examination will be as follow.
